Chilkur Balaji Temple

The Balaji Temple is located at Chilkur Village in the Hyderabad district. It is 33 Kms away from Mehedipatnam.

The best way to reach chilkur Balaji temple is, if you have your own vehicle then it becomes easy. If you go by bus, then the best route is to reach Mehedipatnam. The frequency of buses to Mehedipatnam is high from almost all parts of the city. So your travel becomes easy if you reach Mehedipatnam.Public transport is easily available from Mehedipatnam to chilkur. Approximately 75,000 to 1,00,000 devotees visit in a week. Devotees throng to this place especially on holidays.

First time when I visited there, I was thrilled to see the arrangements here like avoiding hundi, dakshina etc. The nice concept is implemented in darshan of the lord Balaji, is that all people must stand in queue with discipline.
It is really good. I hope all temples in India need to be like chilkur temple.

sri balaji at chilkur is very powerful god. In this temple all are equal and everyone follows it systematically.

The History behind this temple goes like this.A devotee who used to visit Tirupati every year could not do so on one occasion due to ill-health. Lord Venkateshwara appeared in his dream and said, "I am right here in the jungle nearby. You don't have to worry." The devotee at once moved to the place indicated by the Lord in the dream and saw a molehill there, which he dug up. Accidentally, the axe struck Lord Balaji's idol covered by the mole- hill below the chin and on the chest, and surprisingly blood started flowing from the wounds, flooding the ground. The devotee could not believe his eyes when he saw this. Suddenly he could not believe his ears also when he heard a voice from the air, which said, Flood the mole- hill with cow's milk. When the devotee did so, a Swayambhu idol of Lord Balaji accompanied by Sridevi and Bhoodevi (a rare combination) was found, and this idol was installed with the due rites and a temple built for it.

This temple is also popularly known as Visa Temple because many devotees come here with the wish of going abroad.

It's customary to go around the temple (known as pradakshina) eleven times and pray to god for a specific wish. Once this wish comes true, the devotee has to go again and take 108 pradakshinas.

Chilkur Balaji temple is one of the most famous temples in Hyderabad

There is a Shiva temple in the complex.

Nearby Balaji temple Lotus temple is there.

So don’t fail to see Balaji and Lotus temple in Chilkur .May god fulfill all your thoughts.

keesaragutta

Keesaragutta is a hillock at the village of Keesara in Rangareddy District. It is famous for Ramalingeswara temple and has a lingam installed by Lord Hanuman. It is 40 kms from Begumpet and it is about 15 kms from ECIL X roads. From ECIL X road we can go by share auto or buses.

But if you go by bike really the journey will be wonderful and the road is also good.

We can see a number of Sivalingas all over the hillock. Keesaragutta is easily accessible by road from Hyderabad.
According to legend, Lord Ram was so enchanted with beautiful surrounds of the hill and asked Lord Hanuman to bring a "Sivalinga" from Varanasi.Hanuman was late in arriving with the Siva lingam and as the auspicious hour was nearing, Lord Siva himself appeared before Sri Ram and presented a Sivilingam for installation. Hence the lingam in the temple is called Swayambhu Linga. It is also called Ramalingeswara as lord Sri Ram had installed the lingam.
Hanuman returned with 101 lingams from Varanasi and felt badly that not having his lingam installed. Hence he threw them all over the area. Even today several lingams are found scattered all over the place outside the temple.
He also said that the hillock where the lingam was installed would bear his name kesarigiri i.e., Hanuman, the son of Kesari. Over a period of time, it has become corrupted and now it has been changed to Keesara and the hill as Keesaragutta. It is now an attraction for the Ramalingeswara and Lakshmi- narasimha also.
Temple timings 7a.m to 1p.m and 3p.m to 6p.m

Two weeks before my brother in law came here (to hyd) .So we planned to spend that sunday in different locations.Suddenly we heared about Dhola -ri-Dhani.We decided to visit this place. We got perfect map and locations also .So we started immediately .we decided to go there by bike. That day traffic was very less and and it made very Easy to drive. The road was ok.

Entrance ticket is 125rs without dinner. With dinner 250rs. We bought without dinner ticket because we don't want to take risk.Along with the ticket they gave Two free coupons. One is for Mehendi (for ladies)and another one is for head massage(only for gents).

We can see many Rajasthani dolls at the entrance. The entrance itself looked too orthodox rajasthani.Dhola-ri-Dhani welcomes everyone with a welcome drink(jal jeera).

First we went for the welcome drink.Really it was ok its Typical Rajasthani drink. Then We took camel-ride(i am not interested so my brother- in- law took it),which was pretty dangerous.

We can see lot of sets there. It is an ideal place for film shooting too.We can see perfect settings with beautiful locations for a good film.We enjoyed there and took many photos.

Lot of attractions are there like Boating, Camel/Horse ride, Puppet show,Rajasthani folk, music and dances along with Disco & Rain dance and beautifully laid out Swimming pool.

After everything we entered into head massage center .It took 10 min .That massage was really super and its worth also.woh it was super.

Ramoji film city

Ramoji film city located 30 km away from Hyderabad. From very long time we have been hearing about this places.we decided to visit this place. So we decided to go there by bike.We decided to start early in the morning but we got delayed because my brother in law took time to get ready. We started here at 10.30 a.m only.We were searching the road to Ramoji. That day traffic was very full and it made very difficult to drive. We managed all and we entered on our way to Ramoji. The road was quiet good and we enjoyed that trip very much .On the way to ramoji we had lot of fun .The ride was very super. We reached there at 11.30.

Entrance ticket is 300rs.Earlier it was 250 rs now its 300 rs.First we entered into Movie magic show.Really it was very good. It took 20 min then to next show (some comedy show). Like this lot of entertainment shows are there. On that day we were late (we reached there at 12 only) so we missed some shows.ok no problem. All the shows were very good and we enjoyed lot.

After all the shows we took Ramoji bus to visit the sets.

We saw lot of movie sets like airport, railway station,Hospital(some times it will be General hospital and some times it will be mental hospital ha ha), church and houses(bungalow and small house). Some set has four type of entrances. One is for hero, second is for heroine, third is for villan and fourth is for comedian. See how nice it is.They covered all in one set.

Their we saw one super temple set. That temple is godless temple. Inside no god only set. Its hard to find which is real and which is set. We heared lot of movies was shooted here.

The bus dropped us in one place to see various type of gardens and to see Kripalu Caves.

Really that cave was very super(set only). Then we took another bus to go to play area.

In Play area lot of rides are there which includes Ranger, Super Jet, Striking cars, Break-Dancer and Twister. We enjoyed in all .

Finally we were getting very tired because we didn't take rest in anywhere so we went to Train restaurant and we took some rest .

Nehru Zoological Park

This is a 300 acre park filled with various species of birds and animals, the Nehru Zoological Park is a must for nature lovers. One of my friend told about this park. so we decided to go there to enjoy that nature.Basically i am a nature loving person.Atlast one fine day we went there.I think entry fee is 25 rs(i am not sure but less than 50 rs only). One important thing is Polythene covers and plastics bottles are strictly prohibited in the zoo.So if we have anything like that we have to show in front of them and they will give 1 bag and we have to pay deposit for plastic bottles. In return we have to give that plastic bottles then only they will give that deposit amt.I like this neatness.van is also available to visit inside the zoo.van cost is 200rs for 5 members.Because by walk is quiet impossible to visit all the animals and birds.A must visit for all provided we have to walk around for 6-7 hours to cover the entire zoo.so we booked one van .Really it was super to see all that natures.

The biggest Zoo in India, it has over 250 species of animals and birds, most of which are kept in good conditions as close to their natural habitats .This is the first zoo. The Nehru Zoological Park has animals and birds like the Indian Rhino, Lion, Tiger, Panther, Giraffe ,Elephant ,Peocock ,Bear, and Birds etc., a number of Deer. In fact, animals bred in the Zoo have been distributed to various Deer parks and also sanctuaries for restoring the depleted animals.

The popular ones among the different species are white peacocks.

Snake park is also there.we can see different types of snake.

The lion safari park, the first in Asia, natural history museum, pre-historical animals park, nocturnal birds, a children park with a train ride are other added attractions. The major attraction within the zoo, however, is the Lion Safari. A van barbed with wrought iron takes you to that spot. But we didn't visit that because no time.

It was a pleasant experience, but we were getting tired, because it took one full day to see all .later we took some rest in one of the gardens.we started there at 5.30 p.m because closing time is 5.30.But remember one thing Monday is holiday.Photography is allowed.

However this place is very nice for the entire family .

Birla Mandir

Hyderabad, the capital of Andhra Pradesh, along with its twin sister, Secunderabad, are endearingly called 'Twin Cities'.

Climate

Summer : March to June, Average 40 Degrees Celsius
Monsoon : July to September
Winter : October to February, Average 16 Degrees Celsius

The best time to visit Hyderabad is from September to March Hyderabad's best tourist attractions are

Birla Mandir

God’s Marble Home

Birla Mandhir is one of the best tourist spot in Hyderabad. An enchanting temple dedicated to Lord Venkateswara, the Birla Mandir stands in all its grandeur on the hilltop of Kalapahad.Made of pure white marble from Rajasthan.Beautiful scenes from the great epics of Ramayana and Mahabharata are finely sculpted in marble.

Its located very near to Hussain sagar lake.a must visit location for tourists who visit Hyderabad.so we decided to visit this temple.so we started one Sunday evening .we reached there and i was very happy to see that temple which is made of pure white marble from rajasthan.Beautiful scenes from the great epics of Ramayana and Mahabharata are finely sculpted in marble. I think nearly 200 steps r there to reach the top and lift is also available for aged persons.Along the path are many a marble statue of gods and goddesses of Hindu mythology located in the gardens with full of blossoms. There we can see lord ganapathy ,lord hanuman, lord Shiva.but this temple is mainly dedicated to lord Venkateswara.Saturday is the very special day for lord Venkateswara.we can see heavy rush also in Saturday.we spent nearly 3 hrs there.we enjoyed very much and we had a nice and pleasant darshan. The entire complex, the walls and the upper gallery are full of paintings carried out by artists .And the temple was very nice, especially the evening breeze blowing in with mantras all around.finally i thought this is the best tourist spot.

A trip to Hyderabad remains incomplete without a visit to this Temple
